APS3 Customer Service Officer - Hobart, TAS

We’re seeking motivated and reliable Customer Service Officers to join a high-performing federal government team supporting the public through a range of front-facing and administrative services.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for members of the public, providing accurate information and assistance across various service areas. You’ll work across front counter, concierge, and administrative functions, handling a range of enquiries and documentation with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver courteous, efficient, and professional service at the front counter, concierge, and via phone.

• Conduct quality assurance checks on documents before and after processing.

• Manage high-value inventory securely and in accordance with departmental procedures.

• Operate printing and scanning equipment and perform basic maintenance.

• Complete data entry, document processing, and general administrative support.

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve enquiries and process transactions.

• Work collaboratively within a team to meet performance and service delivery targets.

About You

Requirements

• Australian citizenship (mandatory).

• Ability to obtain a National Police Check and Baseline Security Clearance (preferred).
